Oval Black Diamond Engagement Rings
An oval black diamond is an elongated brilliant cut: it makes the finger look longer and gives the darkest stone a soft, polished outline. Our oval black diamond engagement rings set natural black ovals from 1 carat, in the floral Black Swan, to 6.9 carats, in the art deco Bandaar. Choose a clean solitaire like Boötes, a bezel like Night Crawler, a hidden halo like Musta Magia, the vintage split shank Black Heart, or black and white together in Night Skies.
Every black stone is a natural, earth-mined diamond. Its color is enhanced, and the certificate that comes with the ring states it. Each ring is made to order: production takes 10-14 business days, plus shipping. New to black diamonds? Start with our black diamond engagement ring guide. Prefer a white oval? Oval black diamond engagement rings: FAQ
Is an oval black diamond a real diamond?
Yes, in these rings. Every black stone here is a natural, earth-mined diamond with enhanced color, stated on the certificate. Other black engagement ring stones, such as onyx, black spinel and black moissanite, are different materials. How they compare: black diamond vs onyx, spinel and black moissanite.
What carat sizes do your oval black diamond rings come in?
Center stones run from 1 carat, in Black Swan, to 6.9 carats, in Bandaar (7.6 carats total). Night Crawler and Pale Darkness set 5.5 carat ovals. Each product page lists the exact center and total carat weight.
Which setting protects an oval black diamond best?
A bezel. It wraps the whole stone in a rim of gold, so the edge is covered, as in Night Crawler. A halo also guards the edge. Prongs, as in the solitaire Boötes, show more of the stone. Any diamond can chip on a hard knock, so the setting matters for daily wear.
Do oval black diamonds sparkle?
They shine rather than sparkle. A black diamond is nearly opaque, so light bounces off its polished facets instead of travelling through it. The oval's long outline gives that shine a soft, even sweep. More in do diamonds reflect or refract light?
What is an art deco black diamond ring?
An art deco ring frames the center stone in geometric lines and small side stones, a style from the 1920s and 1930s. Ours set an oval black diamond with black marquise, pear or baguette diamonds: Tarazed, Hidden Nodes, Rosette and Bandaar.
